About the Artist

Ken Pointer II is a Foundational Black American visual artist born in Cincinnati Ohio. His work explores and celebrates FBA history, culture, and excellence. Like many artists, his creative journey began at a young age. After years of dedicated practice, he pursued a formal education in the arts. He graduated from Central State University (Wilberforce OH) with a BA in Graphic Design and he also graduated from The New York Academy of Art with an MFA in Painting. He soon returned to his alma mater (CSU) to teach various art courses as an Assistant Professor. These works currently pictured on the site visually represent his trajectory from a student to an Assistant Professor.
